2005/2006 the club F.C. Slobozia Mare appeared for the first time in Divizia B Sud, where they still play today. The club was found 1990 and promoted to Divizia B in 1991 where they played til 1995. The team gained promotion to Divizia A where they received the 14th place in the table of 22. Due to financial reasons the team had to play on in Divizia B Sud in 1996/1997 and dissolved after that season. The club was refound in 2001 and since then takes part of Divizia B.

Slobozia Mare is a village in the far south of Moldova, between the city of Cahul and the southern border with Romania. The stadium has a typical moldovan stand with wooden bleachers in country colours and the small concrete building in the middle.
